Humboldt County Office of Education: Hoopa Valley High School Students Trades Tour

Hoopa Valley High School Students Trades Tour

On April 6th, Hoopa Valley High School students had a busy day learning all about different career opportunities in trades ranging from building supply, metal fabrication, and construction.  They visited The Mill Yard, McCullough Construction, and O&M Industries.  It was inspiring for the students to learn that The Mill Yard (Tanka Chase) and McCullough Construction (Macky McCullough) are owned by Hoopa Valley High School alumni.  The students also heard from John Barber of O&M Industries, also a Hoopa Valley High alumni, about how he became a metal fabricator.

We would like to thank the employees of The Mill Yard, O&M Industries, and McCullough Construction for preparing and providing excellent presentations to the students. The students were impressed by the tours and appreciated the information they learned for future career options!
