EUREKA, CA (May 6, 2026) – The Humboldt County Board of Education is proud to recognize Robert Siekmann for 50 years of continuous service as a Trustee, marking an extraordinary milestone in public education leadership and community service. The Board will formally honor Trustee Siekmann during its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
According to records maintained by the California School Boards Association, Trustee Siekmann is the longest-serving trustee among California’s currently seated county board members, an achievement that reflects five decades of steadfast commitment to students, families, and public education in Humboldt County.
Over the course of his tenure, Trustee Siekmann has provided continuity, institutional knowledge, and principled leadership through periods of significant change in education at the local, state, and national levels. His service has helped shape policies and decisions that support educational equity, fiscal responsibility, and student success across the county.
