Humboldt County Office of Education: School Meal Times and Locations

School Meal Pickup Times & Locations

Some Humboldt County school districts are planning to continue providing meals to children throughout the summer, in some cases including to children who do not go to district schools.

Administrators, if your district is serving meals but not listed here, please email commcenter@hcoe.org.

Arcata School District

Meals are offered Monday through Friday with breakfast and lunch served in one bag.
All children ages 18 and younger are welcome to these free meals!

Summer Schedule (June 15-Aug 24)

Arcata Elementary 12pm – 1pm

Eureka City Schools

Regular on-site meal pickup will be provided three days a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Two days’ worth of meals will be provided on Mondays and Wednesdays. This schedule will continue through the summer.

Alice Birney School 11am – 1pm MWF
Eureka High School 11am – 1pm MWF
Grant School 11am – 1pm MWF
Lafayette School 11am – 1pm MWF
Washington School 11am – 1pm MWF

Children are not required to be present for meal pick-ups

In addition, ECS will be providing meals to Camp Cooper and the Municipal Auditorium in Eureka. Breakfast can be picked up at 7am and lunch at noon Monday thru Friday. Also, in partnership with Food For People, the Teen Center at 3015 J Street wil serve breakfast at 9am and lunch at noon Monday through Friday.

McKinleyville Union School District

Summer Schedule (June 16 – Aug. 18)

MUSD will be offering five (5) day meal bags for children 18 years of age and under through the summer. The meal bags can be picked up every Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at McKinleyville Middle School.

Children will be given one (1) non-perishable bag and one (1) refrigerated bag. These bags will contain both the Breakfast and Lunch meal items for 5 days.

Eel River Valley - Misc Locations

Food for People and Eureka City Schools are partnering to bring meals to children at various locations in the Eel River Valley during the summer.
