“Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Suicide Prevention” infuses culture and diversity throughout a foundational workshop on suicide prevention. This free workshop teaches participants to act as eyes and ears for suicidal distress and to connect individuals to help.

This training is appropriate for any and all school staff who are interested in becoming more aware of warning signs of suicide and confident in connecting others to local and national resources.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify signs of suicide
  • Ask if someone is considering suicide with sensitivity and confidence
  • Connect individuals with appropriate support-approach suicide prevention in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Respond to community needs and decrease stigma
