Humboldt County Office of Education: Letters from the Community to our Youth

Logo - Letters from the Community

The “Letters from the Community to our Youth Project” is a community initiative that asks adult mentors to share ideas about future career success with our area’s young people.  Sponsored by the Humboldt County Office of Education and the Northern Humboldt Union High School District’s Career Frontiers program, the project’s goal is to encourage students to believe that education and career success is achievable, and that although the challenge of pursuing educational, career, and business goals can be difficult, the rewards are well worth the effort.

Our main goal for the Letters from the Community to our Youth Project should be to share stories with kids.  We want to collect submissions from people with diverse backgrounds and views on life from throughout our community and share their stories, lessons learned, and wisdom.  This project is about the power of storytelling!

Submission Guidelines

Use the form on this page to submit a letter for consideration. Submissions should be no longer than two pages and may be edited.  We want to include at least 50 letters or essays in the final publication. Not all submissions will be published.
