Due to the current Shelter in Place order and the uncertainty of the length of time we will be social distancing, Humboldt County Office of Education has cancelled the OHESI program for 2020.
We appreciate the time spent on applying to this program. We hope that next year brings a brighter experience and that all eligible students apply again next year.
OHESI | Oral Heath-Careers Exploration Summer Institute
Oral Health-Careers Exploration Summer Institute (OHESI) is a FREE two-week intensive summer educational program during which students learn more about oral health care, dentistry, and career options. They also have an exclusive opportunity to job shadow at local dental facilities and observe different dental professionals in a live work environment.
- Learn medical terminology and dental skills
- Explore a variety of dental careers
- Experience real-world dental facility settings
- Develop communication skills and professionalism
- Earn college credit in work experience
