Description
This presentation will give teachers an innovative way to teach writing strategies to students that are reluctant writers. As well as giving strategies to improve confidence in students writing abilities.
About the Presenters
Colleen is in her 25th year in education. Most of her career was as an aide in special day classes or at Glen and Court and Community schools. She is now a third year teacher in the 5th/6th Special Day Class at Toddy Thomas Middle School in Fortuna. She lives in McKinleyville with her husband, 4 kids and 2 dogs.
Rachel is in her second year as an Education Specialist, teaching the Special day class at Fortuna Middle School. She has 12 years experience in education overall. She started out as an aide in special day classes in the greater Sacramento area, before moving to Humboldt to further her education and go into teaching. She likes to walk at the Arcata Marsh, read and color.
