Students: Curious about different majors and what college is really like? Join us on Zoom every Wednesday from 12:00-12:45 p.m. We’ll feature a different guest each week!
All chats are on Wednesdays from 12:00-12-45 p.m.
HCOE, HSU, & CR are co-hosting an opportunity for students to learn about college and university majors. This is an opportunity to hear directly from professors and departments about what it is like to study in different subject areas in college, and about career opportunities in these fields. Please sign up for as many sessions as you would like.
Students in 9th-12th grades, family members, and other supporters are all welcome. The 45-minutes talks will include a presentation by the department professors and plenty of time for you to ask questions about this major. Bring your lunch and join us!
For local high school students who want to go to college, the chance to observe classes at CR and HSU offers an amazing opportunity to better understand what college is like.
Note: At this time, although we are still actively looking for volunteers, all “visits” are being done in a virtual way.
Takes away apprehension that comes from not knowing what to expect in college
Provides them an experience to feel what it’s like to be in college
