This course is designed to suit both the entry-level mechanic and the university-bound student who just wants to understand the basic maintenance of a vehicle. Topics covered include but are not limited to: auto history, basic engine theory, tools, engine rebuilding, cooling systems, lubrication systems, fuel systems, electrical systems and tires. Continuing Auto students will learn advanced techniques in repair of engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and suspension systems will be emphasized. This class will combine classroom lectures with practical application in the automotive shop.
