Overview

You can find the Design Media and Visual Arts pathway at the MARZ project in downtown Eureka. There are courses on Audio Engineering, Music Production, Sound Design & Recording,  Design & Animation, and Film Production.

CTE Intro to Audio Engineering (MARZ)

An introductory class on the basics of audio engineering. The course will cover recording, editing, and sound design for media including on-set audio, voiceovers, foley, and sound fx. 

CTE Intro to Music Production (MARZ)

An introductory class on the basics of music production. The course will provide an overview of the music production process including composition and music theory, sampling, synthesis, arranging, mixing, and mastering. 

CTE Sound Design & Recording 2 (MARZ)

An advanced class on audio engineering and sound design. The course will cover recording, editing, post-production, and sound design for media including on-set audio, voiceovers, foley, sound fx, and scoring. 

CTE 3D Design & Animation 1 (MARZ)

This course will introduce a project-based approach to 3D design techniques. The course will cover the basics of modeling, rigging, animation, texturing, and rendering.

CTE 3D Design & Animation 2 (MARZ)

This second-level course will take a deeper dive into 3D design & animation techniques. The course will cover more in-depth topics of modeling, rigging, animation, texturing, and rendering. It will build on the foundation of lessons covered in Intro to 3D design & animation. 

CTE Film Production 1 (MARZ)

This course will introduce a project-based approach to pre-productions elements of narrative filmmaking. The course will focus strongly on creative writing using industry-standard screenplay formatting as well as storyboarding techniques.
