The Building and Construction Trades pathway prepares students with knowledge and skills in the woodworking industry for entry-level positions.
Students learn the proper safety and use of the tools and equipment in the shop. The second semester concentrates on specific joinery and assembly processes that build upon the knowledge that is gained in the first semester.
Advanced Woodshop students learn the basics of cabinet making and design to refine their woodworking skills.
Students enrolled in the practicum class utilize advanced skill sets to be placed in internships or complete commissioned work for community members.
