Humboldt County Office of Education: Schools to Dance

Schools to Dance is an exciting program by North Coast Dance and the Humboldt County Office of Education that brings the magic of ballet into classrooms, offering students a transformative experience through live performances and behind-the-scenes insights into ballet production.

This year’s Outreach Ensemble, a group of dedicated dancers, will guide students through the world of Classical and Contemporary Ballet, featuring captivating characters from The Nutcracker and original dance works. Along with witnessing the artistry on stage, students will explore the technical elements of theater, such as lighting, set design, costumes, and props.

To enhance this experience, there will be a pre- and post-curriculum with interactive dance activities designed to engage students physically and creatively, making Schools to Dance a truly enriching educational opportunity.
