Schools to Theatre connects Humboldt County students with local theatre companies, giving them the opportunity to experience live performances. This year’s Schools to Theatre partners are Ferndale Repertory Theatre, North Coast Repertory Theatre, and the Arcata Playhouse.
Bring your students to the Family Fun Series at the Arcata Playhouse for an exciting lineup of multicultural theater performances. This year’s series features two captivating shows that offer a rich cultural experience, perfect for engaging young audiences in the magic of storytelling and theater. Both of these shows have a 9:30 a.m. and a 12:30 p.m. showtime. Don’t miss this opportunity for a fun and educational field trip!
This all original puppet performance tells the story of a boy named Kaja, who learns to overcome his fears with the help of a magical schoolbag. Watch as characters in the storybooks come to life, teaching valuable lessons about friendships and the magic and power of reading. The Czech Puppet Theater has been entertaining audiences of all ages throughout Europe for years, and are now on tour in the USA.

Participation in this program is first come, first serve. Reserved SEATS can support up to $300 per class. There is no bus subsidy included. For the purposes of planning your budget within the $300 stipend limit, tickets to Ferndale Rep are $14 each and tickets to NCRT are $12 each.”
