Celebrate the Launch of California’s Native American Studies Model Curriculum!

Join us for an inspiring event celebrating the official launch of the Native American Studies Model Curriculum (NASMC), California’s first-ever state-sponsored curriculum designed to center Native voices, histories, and perspectives in public education.

Co-developed with California Tribes, cultural knowledge keepers, the NASMC features over 450 standards-aligned lessons as well as primary source materials, as commissioned Native artwork, poetry, and testimonies, and professional development grounded in cultural sustainability, respect, and authenticity.  Through presentations from Native leaders, educators, artists, and youth, participants will learn about the importance of this curriculum and gain insights to bring these lessons to life in classroom.

Be part of this historic transformation in education as we uplift Native stories, build community, and take meaningful steps toward educational justice and cultural healing.
