Project CLEAR Asynchronous Course
Project CLEAR is offering a three-unit graduate literacy course for public school teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals (with a bachelor’s degree).
In this three-unit asynchronous course, participants will learn literacy strategies for students who have reading, writing, and language-based needs. This knowledge will help educators expand availability and access to literacy for their students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, including students who are English learners, students in dual language programs, and students with disabilities, including those with dyslexia and/or phonological processing issues. The course offers examples from 1st-8th grade classrooms, yet it is available to all educators TK-12.
Three Modules
- Gathering data during focused small groups
- Expanding English vocabulary for students of any language
- Writing and sketching in response to reading
Targeted Audience
TK-12 through 8th grade teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals (with a bachelor’s degree)
What’s Included in the Course?
- Tuition for three postgraduate units over one semester
- $1,500 stipend upon successful completion of the three units at the end of the semester
* Cohorts forming for August 2026 and January 2027 with a rolling application deadline. Drop/Add dates set by Saint Mary’s College are typically the second week of classes.
