COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Resources & Information

Important Notice: Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, based on guidance from the County of Humboldt and the CDC, HCOE will no longer be maintaining guidance documents for COVID-19 protocols. Students and families may get information from the links below. School staff should follow these streamlined instructions.

Students & Families

School Staff

  • Contact your supervisor to inform them you tested positive;
  • Return to work if symptoms are subsiding and you have not had a fever for 24 hours (A  negative COVID-19 test is not required to return to work);
  • Follow the below guidelines regarding face coverings:
  1. For COVID-19 cases with symptoms, face coverings are required until 10 days have passed since COVID-19 symptoms began, or
  2. For COVID-19 cases without symptoms, face coverings are required until 10 days have passed from the date of their first positive COVID-19 test.
No employer shall prevent any employee from wearing a face covering, including a respirator, when not required by these regulations, as specified in section 3205(f)(4). All employees who are working indoors or in vehicles with more than one person can request respirators for voluntary use in compliance with subsection 5144(c)(2).
