The California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN) is funded by the California Department of Social Services, Child Care and Development Division and has provided high-quality professional learning, technical assistance, and support to California’s preschool program administrators and teachers through its statewide network since 2004. CPIN promotes promising practices in early learning, family engagement, and equity through regional communities of practice and professional learning sessions. These practices emphasize a whole-child approach.
CPIN Region 1 provides professional learning and technical support to Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake, and Sonoma counties.
CPIN professional learning sessions, which are grounded in the California Foundations and Frameworks, are offered regionally at no cost to participants. Sessions are offered via ZOOM and in-person, and include single topics, series, and Community of Practices. Select topics are offered in Spanish as well. Fee for service sessions are available for specific program requests.
