Overview

Agriculture classes are taught at the Greenhouse at Redwood Acres. This course is a hands an approach to Agriculture taught in the classroom.

CTE Horticulture 1 & 2

The Horticultural Science course is designed to develop an understanding of common horticultural management practices as they relate to food and plant production. Topics discussed in the course are Plant Science, Environmental Science, Hydroponics, Controlled Environment Horticulture, Integrated Pest Management, and will adequately inform students about the horticulture industry. This class will include a combination of on campus lessons followed by a hands-on lab at the Humboldt Hydrofarms Greenhouse at Redwood Acres. Transportation will be provided to and from Alder Grove at class time if needed.
