Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Training, Grades K – 2

The IMSE Impact Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus Course and Program is 30-hours of a hands-on, interactive, and personalized class that provides a complete understanding of IMSE’s enhanced Orton-Gillingham method, the essential five components to literacy, and the tools necessary to apply it in the classroom.

After participating in this accredited Structured Literacy course, teachers will understand the structure and foundation of the English language as well as the research behind the Science of Reading. Educators will have a basic knowledge of how to assess and teach students in all three tiers of RTI as well as students with dyslexia.

• $450 per participant for Humboldt County Public Educators (+$200 for K-2 LIFT package)
• $1,555 per participant for Private School / Non-Humboldt County Educators (+$200 for K-2 LIFT package)
• 2 Extended Education units / 30 hours
• Lunch is on your own, but we’re working to have food trucks parked on-site daily.
• We’ll keep you caffeinated with coffee/tea and plenty of robust snacks to keep you energized!

*To encourage strong, vertical team alignment, we are offering a discount for sites that train complete K–2 teams. Each teacher will receive a $50 registration discount if the entire K-2 is trained. (We will honor previous participation if other teachers were trained in previous summers).
