The Humboldt County Office of Education (HCOE) is the recipient of a $3.3 million Federal grant to maximize social, intellectual and creative potential in local schools. SCLS Legal Update Regarding Age of Consent for COVID-19 Testing

In response to inquiries from member districts, School & College Legal Services of California recently issued a Legal Update regarding who may consent for a student to be tested for COVID-19.

In summary, guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) indicates that students ages 13 and older may consent to testing without parental consent being required.
