ArtSEL Professional Learning Community
Join us for a full year of exploring creative, practical ways to integrate the arts and social-emotional learning into your teaching. Designed for a cohort of 20 educators, the ArtSEL Professional Learning Community (PLC) highlights the most effective strategies, tools, and lessons developed through the four-year ArtSEL federal grant. Participants will gain classroom-ready experiences in visual and theatre arts while building classrooms where engagement, belonging, creativity, and emotional growth thrive. The PLC structure uses a combination of in-person, virtual, and asynchronous working sessions to support a balanced schedule.
Participants will receive:
- Classroom art supplies and materials
- Ongoing coaching and support
- Ready-to-use resources and lesson ideas
- Up to three units of university credit
- Prioritized registration for Reserved SEATS programs
The PLC is open to Grades 3–6 educators across Humboldt County who are interested in strengthening student connection, creativity, and engagement through the arts.
