BIPs for School Psychologists and Behaviorists: Supporting Meaningful Outcomes While Ensuring CDE Compliance
The BIP Audit: Supporting Meaningful Outcomes While Ensuring CDE ComplianceBring one of your own Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to this collaborative, hands-on workshop. Together, we’ll review and refine plans with a focus on the critical connection between the identified function of behavior and the interventions designed to address it.Using the PENT Essential 10 Scoring Rubric as our framework, participants will evaluate BIPs for function-based alignment, CDE compliance, and overall quality.
Through guided discussion and practical application, you’ll learn:
- How to accurately match interventions to the function of behavior
- Create practical plans that can be implemented with fidelity, and
- Strengthen behavior supports that lead to meaningful student outcomes.
Participants will leave with strategies for developing BIPs that are effective, feasible, individualized, and legally defensible.
What to Bring: A sanitized completed or draft BIP from your current caseload (if available), any related data you would like support interpreting, and your computer for scoring, analysis, and revision activities.
