In this interactive session, participants will explore how children develop foundational approaches to learning skills.

We will explore:

• The developmental continuum of how children aged three to five-and-a-half demonstrate essential learning skills, such as curiosity, initiative, self-regulation, and cognitive flexibility.
• Why these skills matter for engagement, working through challenges, and collaboration.
• Practical strategies and activities you can use in your classroom to support these skills.

Participants will receive a copy of the PTKLF Approaches to Learning publication and learn how to use it for teaching and planning.  This session is open to Yurok Head Start staff only – registration by invitation only!
