Strength in Stories: Embracing Asset-Based Approaches in Early Childhood Education

This two-part professional development series invites childcare providers, preschool staff and early childhood educators to explore and implement asset-based approaches that honor the diverse strengths children and families bring to our classrooms.

In this 90-minute follow-up session we will deepen this work through collaborative case studies that highlight community cultural wealth, allowing educators to share successes and navigate challenges together.

Note: Please make sure are registered for the one of the preceding, either in-person or virtual, Session 1 trainings. (We encourage you to still attend even if you missed Session 1!)

Participants will leave with concrete tools to transform their practice, elevate children’s stories, and create more inclusive, strength-centered learning environments that celebrate the rich cultural resources of Humboldt County families.

*The first 10 participants who register and attend each session are eligible to receive $100 per session. You may be eligible for $100 once for Session 1 and once for Session 2.
