Children’s Summer Lunch Programs

Children's Summer Lunch Program InfoThis summer, two local organizations are offering free lunch to children. Food For People will be offering free sack lunches to children 18 years of age and younger at a variety of locations throughout Humboldt County. Likewise, Eureka City Schools is offering a similar program, along with activities to keep kids busy during the summer months.

For both programs, there are no requirements aside from age, and no applications to fill out.

Eureka City Schools

Breakfast is available at Lincoln Learning Center/Zoe Barnum June 20-July 19 from 8-9 a.m.

Lunch is available at Alice Birney Elementary, Washington Elementary, and Lincoln Learning Center/Zoe Barnum from June 17-August 9 (Alice Birney through August 16) from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Eureka City Schools will also be running activities and weekly drawings as part of their program.
