Eureka — Attention all educational, arts, and community members! Are you looking to enhance your teaching skills and explore creative ways to engage your students? Then mark your calendars for the highly anticipated Creative Education Symposium, taking place on March 25th from 9 AM-4 PM!
This year, the keynote speaker will be none other than Dr. Susie Wise of the d.school at Stanford University. Dr. Wise, the author of the groundbreaking book “Design for Belonging,” will guide attendees on how to cultivate a sense of belonging in any organization, school, or community through simple design tools. This is a must-attend event for anyone looking to build diversity, equity, and inclusion in their group or organization.
In addition to Dr. Wise’s keynote, the day will be filled with 2-hour arts-related workshops to choose from. Participants can explore shadow puppetry, body percussion and stepping, movement to express social-emotional concepts, or join a workshop that details the connection between social-emotional learning and the arts. And for those eager to put Dr. Wise’s teachings into action, don’t miss the “Design for Belonging: Your Turn!” workshop!
