Global education is the practice of helping students understand the world within and beyond their immediate surroundings. It can help equip them with the knowledge and skills to engage with real global issues. With that in mind, the 2026 CGEP Global Education Forum — Dreaming, Teaching, and Transforming Our Global Future will showcase Humboldt County educators who are integrating global education into curricula that they already teach.

Through practical examples grounded in the SDGs and Global Competency Indicators, presenters will demonstrate how global education can deepen their existing units and strengthen students’ understanding of, and advocacy for, our world and all of the people in it.

Participating teachers can expect to walk away with concrete ideas regarding how to incorporate global education into their already existing curriculum.
