Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)

MTSS is a preventive system that ensures students who are struggling are noticed early on and given instruction before falling behind with their studies. A multi-tiered system of support is one that tracks student progress in order to mitigate any setbacks. Consists of four key elements:  Screening, multi-level preventions system, progress monitoring and data-based decision making.
