Requirements to Work as a Classified Para Educator Substitute
To qualify as a classified substitute aide, you must either:
Option 1: Pass the Paraprofessional Exam
- The exam is administered weekly at HCOE on Tuesdays at 10 a.m
- Register for the exam here.
Option 2: Complete College Coursework
- At least 48 semester units of college coursework
- Verified by official transcripts
Requirements to Work as a Certificated Substitute Teacher
