Humboldt County Office of Education: Learning Support Services

The Learning Support Services Team provides a wide scope of support and services. We work directly with administrators and teachers, as well as community and regional partners.  On our favorite days, some of our team is onsite with students supporting continuous improvement efforts, conducting empathy interviews, listening sessions, or screening for English language development. Some of us even get to accompany classrooms as they release Steelhead into the Mad River. 

If you visit our department you’ll find a HERC staff member ready to help you find books or teaching supplies, Learning Specialists organizing professional development opportunities and leading networked improvement communities, and a diverse team coordinating events and programs to serve students and educators.
